Celebration of the "Name of St. Mary" at the City Hall of Vienna

Accompanied by brothers and sisters of our community, numerous pilgrims set off to the celebration of St. Mary´s Name at the City Hall of Vienna.
Thousands of pilgrims came from Austria, Hungary, the Czech-Republic and Germany to thank the mother of God for peace and freedom in Austria, to pray for the country and the people. It was the 50th ceremony at the City Hall of Vienna organized by the "Rosenkranz-Sühne-Kreuzzug", which was founded by the franciscan P. Petrus Pavlicek after the end of the second world war.
The Holy Mass was celebrated by the archbishop of Vienna, Cardinal Dr. Christoph Schönborn, who was accompanied by the Apostolic Nuntius in Austria, Archbishop Dr. Edmond Farhat, by the bishop of Fatima, Antonio Augusto dos Santos Marto, some bishops of Austria and a hugh number of priests, diacons and monks. The Apostolic Nuntius brought a warmly message of the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI.
The ceremony was accomplished by Ars Musica and the Ensemble of St. Francis.
