Dear friends of our community!
In those days we remember St. Francis, who was the first who celebrated christmas with a real crib with ox, donkey and the child in the crib. In 1223, he came to Greccio, a small town in the Rieti-valley near Assisi (Italy). There, with his own eyes, he wanted to see how poor and small the almighty God has made himself for us. St. Francis felt to poorness of God, he smelled His presence between the animals, the straw - he bowed down before the poor God and he sang songs about Him, who has become a human being.
St. Francis wanted, that on Christmas day all christians should be happy to be in God, and that they are generous to the poor, not only to man, but also to animals and each creature on earth, all loved by God.
May all the love brought by the child in the arms of his mother connect us!
