27th youth festival Medjugorje 2016 - day 3

On the third day, early in the morning we went to the Mountain of the Cross to medidate on life and death of Jesus Christ. Afterwards, our program was continued by catechizings, testimonies and much music. In the evening, more than 400 priests and many young people celebrated holy mass.

The second day of the youth festival was a very intensive day. It ended with a flood of lights and prayers in front of the cross.

27th youth festival Medjugorje 2016 - day 1

On August 1st, 2016, the 27th youth festival of Medjugorje was opened. The main topic of the festival was "Be merciful" (Lk 6,36). A group of young people from Styria, accompanied by Fr. Clemens Brecher and Fr. Ignaz Domej, took part, too.

World Youth Day 2016 at Kraków

Together with 3000 young pilgrims from Austria, 2 young people from our parish went to Poland to join the world youth day 2016, the biggest international youth festival of the world. They were accompanied by Fr. Hannes Saurugg and Fr. Niklas Müller from our community. From July 26th to 31st, the festival took place at Kraków, the city of the holy Pope John Paul II. and the holy Sr. Faustyna Kowalska. Both adored the "Mercy of God", focus of their spirituality. Thus, the topic of the world youth day 2016 was "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." (Mt 5,7)

Transitus - decess of St. Francis 2015

On Oct. 3rd, the franciscan family remembers the death of St. Francis in order to celebrate his feast next day. As every year, the brothers and sisters of the community "St. Mary, Queen of Peace" and the adjoined oblates came together at the Fatima-chapel at Trössing (Styria / Austria) to celebrate the day of remembrance.

Eternal profession of Fr. Clemens Brecher

On Sunday, Sept. 6th, our community celebrated a big event: Fr. Clemens Brecher said "yes" to a life with God in the community "St. Mary, Queen of Peace". For eternity, he promised to serve God and the church with a life following Jesus and his mother Mary in poverty, celibacy and obidience.
