Days of contemplation with scholars of the "Bischöfliches Gymnasium Graz-Seckau"

From March 24th to March 26th, 2014, Fr. Hannes Saurugg and Sr. Renate Fischer had organized days of contemplation for the scholars of the 7b-class from the "Bischöfliches Gymnasium Graz-Seckau", a secondary school at Graz (Styria). They had some support from Roman Kriebernegg from the seminary for priest-students at Graz.

Be part of it - February youth evening 2014

1. März 2014

"I am the vine; you are the branches." (John 15,5) was the guiding principle for the young people´s eucharistic adoration on February 28th, 2014, for their get together with Jesus Christ as community of young people. The February youth evening was held by the spiritual adviser from "Young Church, Thorsten Schreiber and Eva-Maria Zarfl, Birgit Loibner Xavante, Hanna Donner and Sr. Kerstin Oswald.

Our once a year organized time of devotion 2014 brought us together at Medjugorje. Blessed with fine weather, we have spent some days in silence and contemplation. Besides, a visit of our building plot was on the program, too.

On January 31st, 2014, Chaplain Karol Pytraczyk held the eucharistic adoration performed by young people from Gnas (Styria). After a plentiful "Nutella-agape", the young people have watched a movie.

Admittance of oblates and christmas celebration

On December 30th, 2013, four oblates more were admitted to the community "St. Mary, Queen of Peace". After the admittance ceremony, the oblates came together at the monastery to celebrate christmas.

Youth evening - Moving to Bethlehem

28. Dezember 2013

The last youth evening of the year 2013, held on December 27th, was performed by young people from Riegersburg (Styria) and chaplain Karol Pytraczyk. After a short agape, groups of young people went out to search for and find baby Jesus. At the house of the fire-brigade, the evening was finished with prayers and with having some pastries.

Youth evening - Angelus

29. November 2013

The last youth evening before the begin of Advent was held under the title "The Angel of God". Young people from St. Veit (Styria) performed the eucharistic adoration. After agape, they worked on several aspects of the angelus. The evening ended with an impulse and time for praying.

Youth evening on September 27th, 2013 - "Operation Hinkelstein"

The first youth evening after the summer break on September 27th, 2013 started with "Paulus - decission for faith". The eucharistic adoration was organized by the brothers and sisters of the community "St. Mary, Queen of Peace".

Afterwards, the two famous Gauls, Asterix and Obelix, led through the program.

Profession of Fr. Niklas Müller

At September 8th, 2013, the feast of "St. Mary´s Birth", Fr. Niklas Müller took his vowes of poverty, chastity in celibacy and obedience in the community of "St. Mary, Queen of Peace" for the first time. Sr. Renate and Fr. Clemens renewed their vowes for a further year.

Mladi-festival 2013 opened

3. August 2013

The 24th international youth prayers meeting has been opened. Young people from 60 countries have already arrived at Medjugorje. At 6pm, the festival started at the outside altar of the church with praying the rosary, and at 7pm with the hl. mass celebrated by the franciscan father provincial P. Dr. Miljenko Šteko in concelebration with 470 other priests.

...starting from Vienna via Istanbul to Sao Paulo, and via Aparecida to Rio de Janeiro. Many places in few days, many meetings and impressions, many surprises. Thus, the journey to the World Youth Days in Brazil started - for 118 participants from the austrian diocese Graz-Seckau (Styria).
