Pilgrimage to Loreto, Assisi and La Verna (Italy) in June 2011

Youth-weekend from May 14th to 15th, 2011 at Thalhof-Breitenstein (Lower Austria)

We ´ll go by train from Spielfeld-Strass (Styria) respect. from Vienna-Meidling (Vienna) to Breitenstein (Lower Austria). There, we start hiking to Thalhof. With singing, workshops, prayers, camp-fire and something more, we ´ll spend the days in the mountains;-)))

On Friday, April 1st, 2011, a group of candidates for confirmation from Kirchberg (Styria) visited our community. After eucharistic adoration and agape, the community and the way of life there were presented to them; then, a film was seen.

On Friday, March 25th, 2011, there was a youth evening at the monastery of St. Mary Fatima - especially with regard to Lent. The main topic of the evening was: "Message for you - Botschaft für dich".

Varese meets Medjugorje

5. Dezember 2010

Under the topic "Varese meets Medjugorje", on December 5th, 2010 more than 5.000 people came together in the sporting hall of Varese in the north of Italy (diocese Milano). From our community, Sr. Ivanka Vasilj and Fr. Michele Pezzini were invited to take part at this meeting of prayers and to speak to the people about their vocations.

St. Francis-school: Respect to creation

At November 11th, 2010, for the St. Francis-school at the Fatima chapel at Trössing / Gnas (Styria) the new year of work 2010/11 has begun: the heading is "St. Francis - brother of all". Br. Hannes Saurugg managed the meeting. In his introduction, he leaded the participants into the topic of the evening "Respect to creation".

Youth evening in October, 2010

On October 29th, 2010, we celebrated the 4th anniversary of youth evenings at the Fatima Chapel. The "Jugendgebetskreis" of St. Veit am Vogau (Styria) performed the eucharistic adoration. We were very glad about the comming of Tamara Strohmaier, head of "Junge Kirche", an organization within the catholic church, and of Birgit Landner, honorary head of the catholic young peoples organization of Styria.

Eternal Profession of Sr. Gertrude Reininger

Cheerfully, Sr. Gertrude Reininger took her eternal vows on October 3rd, 2010. It was a great pleasure too, that Christine Eibel and Maria Pölzl decided to start their year of probation to become oblates (see Oblatur) at the same term.

Pilgrimage to the celebration of the "Name of St. Mary" 2010

15. September 2010

On September 12th, two sisters of our community and some young people went together with bishop Lackner from Styria to the celebration of the "Name of St. Mary" in the City Hall of Vienna. Additionally, one sister and one brother accompanied the pilgrims from the Chapel of St. Mary Fatima and from St. Stefan im Rosental.

Youth festival 2010 at Medjugorje

7. August 2010

From July 31st to August 7th, 2010 we - a group of young people from different parts of Austria, accompanied by members of the community "St. Mary, Queen of Peace" - took part on the 21st youth festival at Medjugorje, together with more than 70.000 young people from 69 nations. In this year, the headline of the meeting was: "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" (Mk 10,17).

First solemn mass of Fr. Mag. Hannes Saurugg on June 27th, 2010

On Sunday, June 27th, 2010 Fr. Mag. Hannes Saurugg celebrated his first solemn mass in his home parish Gnas/Eastern Styria. The holy mass began at 9 a.m., at 5 p.m. in the afternoon the day ended with the eucharist adoration.

Full of gladness, on June 26th, 2010 Br. Hannes Saurugg was welcomed in his home parish Gnas/Styria to celebrate there his first holy mass. After the welcome ceremony and the procession to the church, a solemn vesper was prayed.

Fr. Hannes Saurugg has been consecrated to priest by Dr. Christoph Cardinal Schönborn, the archbishop of Vienna/Austria, by application of his hands and by prayers. The ceremony took place at St. Stephan´s cathedral in Vienna on June 25th, 2010.

Musical "The Wedding of Kana" at Straden

On Saturday, June 5th, 2010 at 8.30 pm the musical "The Wedding of Kana" was performed by young people at the "Florianikirche", a church at Straden (Styria/Austria). The musical was rehearsed in correlation with the APG 2010, a missionary project of the archdiocese of Vienna.
